The Silver Spurs Alumni Association is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization established to raise money to: (1) fund scholarships for University of Texas students; (2) support University of Texas outreach programs such as Neighborhood Longhorns Program, an education incentive program that tutors local Austin youth in 2nd through 8th grade; and (3) support expenses associated with the University of Texas mascot known as BEVO.
