BEVO Endowment

We created the BEVO Endowment in 2004 and established the Silver Spurs BEVO Center in the foyer of the UT Club inside Darrell K. Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium to honor BEVO XIII, our history and our donors. The museum turned out much better than anyone envisioned and is a proud representation of the Silver Spurs and the legacy all of you have left behind.
Now that the construction is completed, all remaining contributions go into a permanent endowment supporting:
  • The ongoing care and transportation of future BEVOs
  • Scholarships for exemplary students at The University of Texas
  • The University of Texas Neighborhood Longhorn's Program
  • Other philanthropic endeavors associated with The University of Texas
The Texas Cowboy Alumni raised over $2.5 million for their endowment with over 75% of their alumni making a contribution. To date less than 15% of Spur Alumni have stepped up and we’ve raised $2.1 million of our original $2.5 million goal. As you can imagine, the economy and markets have negatively impacted our Endowment portfolio and we currently find ourselves in need of much more participation. The BEVO Endowment is now the lifeblood of the active Silver Spurs organization, directly impacting our ability to take care of BEVO and ensure he is present at University functions. Can we count on you?
To make a donation, please click the link on our website or contact the Texas Exes at (512) 471-3822.   All donations to the Endowment are fully tax deductible, managed by the Ex-Students’ Association and count toward your overall gifting total with The University. Be sure to click on the pledge card and see what is still available for name recognition in the BEVO center.
Join the list of fellow Silver Spur Alumni who have generously contributed to date. We are happy to answer any questions you may have, and thank you again for your consideration and support of our BEVO Endowment, which will forever in the annals of the University enshrine the importance and charitable endeavors of the Silver Spurs.
